Reader Problems Book Tag

I do believe something magical can happen when you are reading a good book. – J.K. Rowlings

I found this tag on Thrice Read which I tried to link to, but it was not working unfortunately. Hopefully I will be able to change that later.

So let’s get started!

You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

It depends. I might choose by choosing the one that I want to read the most. Or I might choose the oldest. Or I might choose the one that I feel like I should read the most. It depends on my motivation levels for reading.

You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you put it down or are you committed?

Depends. If it is just something that I picked up because it looked interesting I would just stop. However if it is a classic or something like that I will finish it just to try and figure out why it is a classic.

The end of the year is coming and you’re behind on your reading challenge. Do you try to catch up? And if so, how?

I don’t do reading challenges. I understand the concept and how that could be helpful for people, but I personally just do not do them. At least, I have not done them. Maybe next year, who knows.

The covers of a series you love do not match. How do you cope?

Ignore that. Though now that I am looking at my bookshelf, all my series do match except for one that was really hard to find so I am lucky to have it at all.

Everyone and their mothers love a book that you do not. Who do you bond with over your shared feelings?

No one. I just do not talk about books I do not like.

You’re reading a book in public and you’re about to start crying. How do you deal?

Either stop reading it or just don’t care. It depends how invested I am in the story.

The sequel to a book you loved just came out but you’ve forgotten a lot of what happens. Are you going to reread it?

I tend to reread books a lot, so I am definitely going to read the first one before I start the sequel.

You do not want anyone borrow your books. How do you politely say no when someone asks?

Change the subject and hope that they forget about it. I have not had to deal with this though, so I really don’t know.

You have picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over this reading slump?

Force myself to finish a book. Usually I will choose a book that I normally enjoy though.

There are so many books coming out that you are dying to read. How many do you end up buying?

Probably none. I’ll get them from the library. I don’t like getting books that I have not read before because I only want to own book that I will read more than once.

Ater you purchase all of these books that you’ve been dying to read, how long do they sit on your shelves before you get to them?

Right away. Or after I finish the book that I am currently reading.

I hope that you enjoyed! If you feel like it, please, consider yourself tagged!
