Writing permits me to be more than I am. Writing permits me to experience life as any number of strange creations. – Alice Walker
The last four years I have done NaNoWriMo, and apparently my brain has been conditioned to think that when November hits it is time to write.
NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. It takes place in November and it is where you try to write fifty thousand words in a month.
It is really fun and really stressful. If you want to write a story, but if you are just having trouble getting started it can really help get something written.
This year, I was planning on not doing it because I am busy. However, just because I planned that does not mean that it is working.
On November 6, I finally caved and I joined NaNoWriMo for this year. I doubt that I will finish, but at least I will have written something… Actually I can’t even really be sure that I will have something that really resembles a real story because I only have a very basic plot and I barely know the characters except the ones that I am planning on bringing in from another book that I already wrote last November when I did NaNoWriMo.
I am still planning on keeping to my posting schedule during this month, but my posts may be a bit shorter which you probably have already noticed from this post.
