Ice Cream Book Tag

You can’t buy happiness… But you can buy ice cream and that is pretty much the same thing. – Unknown

I found this on Madame Writer and thought that it looked fun and I want ice cream right now, so it makes sense for me to do it even though I have not been tagged.

And it is summer now, so it is a perfectly good time to be thinking about summer, even though it is getting closer to fall now… Although any rational person will think about ice cream at all times of the year.

Peanut Butter

A very long book series that you want to read but probably won’t, and why.

I don’t think that I have ever had peanut butter, and like that I cannot think of any long series that I want to read and haven’t. If I want to read a long series, I will.

If a new book of a series that I like is coming out it is likely that I will read all of the other books in preparation. I planned on watching all of the Marvel movies before I watched Endgame, but I didn’t, I didn’t even watch Infinity War before… But in my defense I didn’t know that I was going to see Endgame until the day before.

Anyways, back to the question, I cannot think of any long series that I still want to read because I have read them all. Also, what counts as a long book series?

A book series that you would read again and again and again.

I tend to be a re-reader. I will read a book several times unless I hated it.

Just off the top of my head a series that I re-read is Lord of the Rings, but there is also Harry Potter and there are others like the Love Comes Softly, but really there are so many series that I would re-read that this is rather a pointless question for me.

A book with a green cover.

From where I am sitting to write this I can see nine books with green covers, apparently that is a popular color for books on my book shelf. I didn’t realize that before starting this post…

However this one is probably the prettiest:

A book with the cutest romance.

I don’t go in for romance much. I will read books that have it in it, but I don’t usually read romance novels. And recently I’ve been reading a lot of books that don’t have romance in them at all, so now I am trying to think of one…

I’ll go with the Prydain series for this for. I love how Taran and Eilonwy’s relationship grows and develops over the series, and it is just a good series in general.

A book with a sour ending.

Are we talking sad or one that I just didn’t like?

I guess I will go with ‘The Chocolate War’ by Robert Cormier because the ending was just awful.

A children’s book that you like.

A lot of the books that I like could be classified as children’s books, so this is a rather difficult question for me. I guess I’ll go with the Chronicles of Narnia, although they are ones that I would argue that everyone should read.

Good children’s books can and should be read and enjoyed by adults as well as children.

Your favorite classic.

Pride and Prejudice, I think, but there are just so many amazing classic books!

Whipped Cream

A very long book that you read very fast.

I read the House of Hades by Rick Riordan all on the day that it came out. Usually I actually try to take my time with books so that I can take the time to enjoy them and they won’t be over as quickly.

That brings us to the end of this ice cream book tag. So, now I really feel like eating ice cream, although the only one that is on this list that I actually like is vanilla and sometimes mint, if it is mint chip. . .

Anyways, if you feel like doing this book tag feel free to either consider yourself tagged or steal it. Which ever you prefer.

Also, what is your favorite classic book?
