ENFJ At Hogwarts

There lived four wizards of renown,
Whose names are still well known:
Bold Gryffindor, from wild moor,
Fair Ravenclaw, from glen,
Sweet Hufflepuff, from valley broad,
Shrewd Slytherin, from fen.
They shared a wish, a hope, a dream,
They hatched a daring plan
To educate young sorcerers
Thus Hogwarts School began.
Now each of these four founders
Formed their own house, for each
Did value different virtues.
-J.K. Rowlings, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Sometimes it can be hard to read about a Myers-Briggs personality type and then see how there are so many different variation in a single personality type. Here I want to try and explore just four of the thousands of different variations of the ENFJ.

Each person is unique even when they have the exact same personality type. My mom and I have the same personality type, and though in some ways we act in the same way, there’s a lot of things that are different.

We’re going to look at how a ENFJ might act differently in each of the Hogwarts houses. There may not be a large variation, but it will help us to see that each ENFJ is unique.

If you want to look at more at how the ENFJ acts in general, here is a post that I wrote on that.

Also, if you want to find out your Myers-Briggs personality type, this test is very accurate and free. Then if you want to find out your Hogwarts house, here is one that I usually get the same answer on.

Now, let’s look at just a few of the ways that an ENFJ can be different.

You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true,
And unafraid of toil.
– J.K. Rowlings, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

An ENFJ in Hufflepuff would do well. They are loyal and want to help people.

The ENFJ is very concerned with others and their feelings. They have lots of friends and tend to be the mom friend of the group. People feel like the ENFJ is someone that they can rely on.

They are sometimes on the Quidditch team, and are often made team captain. The role that they are most likely to fill is a Chaser.

They would definitely get all of their schoolwork done. It is something that most of the time they would enjoy. They would end up helping others with their homework quite a bit.

Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
if you’ve a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind.
– J.K. Rowlings, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

ENFJs would be the nice, motherly Ravenclaw who always seems to be doing an impossible amount of things and yet still staying on top of everything.

They would have a lot of friends in all of the houses. They would be involved with a lot of clubs.

They would always go to the Quidditch games, but I am not so sure that they would be on the team.

They love to learn and it is always slightly amazing at how quickly they seem to get their work done.

Or perhaps in Slytherin,
You’ll make your real friends,
These cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends.
– J.K. Rowlings, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

The ENFJ would be one of the nicest Slytherins ever. The Sorting Hat would have taken a while to have decided to put them into this house.

They would have a lot of friends, even a few Gryffindors. They would spend most of their time with friends.

There is a chance that they would be on the Quidditch team. And if they were it seems likely that they would be the team captain and a Chaser.

They would always get their schoolwork done. Since it is important to them that they look as good as they possibly can.

You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry,
Set Gryffindors apart
– J.K. Rowlings, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

An ENFJ in Gryffindor would be very protective of others. They would always be ready to help and defend people even when those people would rather face it on their own.

They would have a lot of friends, but I’m not sure that they would be able to get along with most if not all Slytherins. They would be the mom friend, and they would sort of ‘adopt’ a lot of the younger kids.

If they were on the Quidditch team they would be a Chaser, and possibly the captain. If they were not on the Quidditch team they would always go to cheer their team on.

They would get their schoolwork done usually, but people would always be prioritized above it.

So, that is how I think that an ENFJ might act in each of the Hogwarts houses.

If you have any more ideas about how they might behave in any of the houses, then I would love to hear about it in the comments!
