I saw this book tag when I was looking for what to do my post on, and I thought that since it is summer now this would be fun to do. I was not tagged, but I decided to do it anyways. I hope you enjoy it.
1. What book cover makes you think of summer?
Not a lot of books make me think summer, I tend to read a lot of fantasy and those books often have darkly dramatic covers. However, Howl’s Moving Castle, the cover reminds me of summer, at least, this one. Also, the story is just really fun and lighthearted which probably adds to my impression of summer.
2. What book brightened your day?
Many books will brighten my day. However, the one that came to mind is Lord of the Rings. I love those books and I should really read them again because I haven’t read them recently.
3. What book cover is yellow like the sun?
Writing Magic by Gail Carson Levine. I have gotten so much writing inspiration and advice from this book. If you write and haven’t read this book yet I would highly recommend it.
4. What is your favorite beach read?
I can’t think of one off the top of my head. I guess exciting books that I have not read before.
5. What action book had you running for the ice cream man?
The Harry Potter books. The first time I read them I never wanted to put them down.
6. (sunburn) What book left you with a bad or painful ending?
As I’ve said before I try to forget books that I did not like, so this is a really hard question for me to answer. There definitely are books that I had a difficult time with the ending, but right now I seriously cannot think of one. Now if it was a movie… I could, but a book I can’t say off the top of my head.
7. What book gave you the happiest feeling when it ending?
Basically any Jane Austen novel. They are just amazing.
8. What book cover reminds you of a sunset?
I would say that the Love Comes Softly series collection of the books four through eight. This is a series that I really like. However, the story is more like a sunrise than a sunset, but it is the only book cover that I could think of that reminded me of a sunset..
9. What is one book you hope to read this summer?
I have a long list of books I’d like to read this summer, but I guess at the top of that is the Iliad. In English, I don’t speak or ancient Greek. I haven’t read it yet, and since it isn’t the easiest read I’ve been waiting until I had a bit more time.
I hope that you enjoyed this book tag and are having a great summer so far.
