Twenty Questions Book Tag

The important thing is to never stop questioning. – Albert Einstein

I’ve been seeing these book tags around and I’ve thought that they look like they could fun. So today I did the twenty question book tag even though I have not been tagged. If any of you would like to do it feel free to, although I didn’t make it up.

1. HOW MANY BOOKS IS TOO MANY BOOKS IN A SERIES?

It depends on the series, but often I like series that have either three or five. Though it really depends on the series, there’s one series that I like that has twelve books and still might be growing. So really it depends on the story and how long that story takes to tell.

2. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT CLIFFHANGERS?

Please, no. A story should be complete even if it is in the middle of a series.

3. HARDCOPY OR PAPERBACK?

I like them both, but the hardcopies often have prettier covers.

4. FAVORITE BOOK?

I’m supposed to choose one? That is impossible! So here are my top three: Pride and Prejudice, Lord of the Rings, and the Harry Potter series.

5. LEAST FAVORITE BOOK?

I usually try to forget them as soon as possible, so fortunately I can’t remember the names of most books that I read and didn’t like.

6. LOVE TRIANGLES, YES OR NO?

I’m fine with them if they are well done

7. THE MOST RECENT BOOK YOU JUST COULDN’T FINISH?

I tend to finish most books unless they are really terrible because if I don’t I tend to wonder if I would have liked it if I had continued reading it. I’ve actually gone back and tried books that I could not finish before and I’ve liked them. So at the moment I can’t remember a book that I was not able to finish.

8. A BOOK YOU’RE CURRENTLY READING?

The Eye of Zoltar by Jasper Fforde. This is the third book in the series, and I am really enjoying it. It is fun and lighthearted and full of magic.

9. LAST BOOK YOU RECOMMENDED TO SOMEONE?

I can’t remember the name of this book, but it really annoyed me. It completely misrepresented homeschooling. Sorry that I can’t remember what it was about so I could warn you not to read it.

10. OLDEST BOOK YOU’VE READ

The Bible.

11. NEWEST BOOK YOU’VE READ?

Time Jumpers by Brandon Mull.

12. FAVOURITE AUTHOR?

Probably Jane Austen… or J.R.R. Tolkien… or C.S. Lewis, but there are so many amazing authors!

13. BUYING BOOKS OR BORROWING BOOKS?

Borrow the book to see if you like it, and then if you do and would read it again, buy it for yourself.

14. A BOOK YOU DISLIKE THAT EVERYONE SEEMS TO LIKE?

I didn’t like The Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funk, and everyone else that I’ve heard that’s read it liked it.

15. BOOKMARKS OR DOGEARS?

Bookmarks.

16. A BOOK YOU CAN ALWAYS REREAD?

There are actually quite a few of these, but the one that first came to mind is Avalon by Stephen Lawhead.

17. CAN YOU READ WHILE HEARING MUSIC?

Depends on the music. If it is just instrumental I’m usually able to continue reading.

18. ONE POV OR MULTIPLE POVS?

Depends on the book. Although, often I prefer when it is just one.

19. DO YOU READ A BOOK IN ONE SITTING OR OVER MULTIPLE DAYS?

If I have the time I’ll often read a book in one sitting, but that rarely happens. Also it depends how long it is and if it is nonfiction or fiction.

20. ONE BOOK YOU READ BECAUSE OF THE COVER.

I’ve actually picked up quite a lot of books because of their covers. Right now though I’m not able to think of any specific books.

I had a lot of fun doing this, so I doubt it will be my last book tag. Thank you for reading!
