Success is not the result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire. – Reggie Leach
ESTP a personality type that is always ready for excitement and fun. They are there for the thrill. They are ready to be adventurous whatever the later consequences may be, in fact, they probably don’t even know what consequences are.
ESTP stands for Extrovert, Sensor, Thinker, Perceiver. The E standing for Extrovert means that this type enjoys spending time with people. The S stands for Sensor means that they are good at seeing the details in the world around them. The T stands for Thinker this means that they are good at thinking through things rather than using their hearts to make decisions. Lastly, come P which stands for Perceiver meaning that they would prefer to be spontaneous rather than plan ahead.
ESTPs enjoy being with people. They tend to keep the mood light and fun, and would rather steer away from emotional things. They are quite blunt, but their whole personality of fun will often make so that their bluntness is not minded as much as it might normally be.
This personality type is a doer. ESTPs would rather be doing things than talking, but if they have to talk they would prefer talk about the here and now rather than talk about abstract or theoretical things.
Despite the fact that ESTPs would rather be doing than talking, they are are good at talking. They are good at convincing people with words.
Even when the ESTP is having fun he or she wants things to make sense and be logical. Logic is very important to these people.
ESTPs do not mind being the center of attention. Sometimes they will do something just to get into the center of attention.
They get bored quickly especially in structured environments. This means that ESTPs often have trouble in school.
School is made even more difficult to the ESTP by the fact that they do not get along with rules. In their opinion rules were just made to be broken.
The dark side of the ESTP is not quite the same as some of the other types; for most types it is a side that they do not show, but for the ESTP it is who they are already are when they get out of control.
Now that we know a bit about this personality type, I would like to share some people and characters that share this personality type. I find that it helps to understand how all of these parts of a character come together in one whole.
